Those buttons are shortcuts, not mandatory rates. The amount you choose can vary with the service, local practice, and your own preference.

For a $65 nail service:

Multiple technicians
Some appointments involve more than one technician. One person may perform the manicure while another handles a pedicure or a specialized service.
The calculator first determines the total tip from the service-price base. If several people provided different parts of the appointment, you can then decide how to divide that total according to the work performed rather than assuming every person receives the same amount.
Add-on services and nail art
Detailed nail art, repairs, extensions, removals, or other add-ons can change the service price significantly. Enter the complete amount you want to use as the tip base.
For example, if the manicure is $45 and nail art adds $20, entering $65 calculates the percentage from the combined service price. If you prefer to base the tip on a different amount, simply enter that amount instead.
